Martha’s Choice Marketplace & Community Farm

Martha’s Choice Marketplace is Montgomery County’s largest food pantry, serving more than 1,500 families and 6,000 individuals monthly, and distributing over 1.5 million pounds of food yearly. Our mission is to grow community through access to healthy food, and we provide our guests with monthly access to fresh and healthy groceries, as well as offer education and empowerment programs that address basic human needs.

Martha’s Community Farm, a 2024 Montgomery Award winner, grows culturally meaningful food for the pantry in a way that emphasizes local food production, education, and sustainability.  Individuals interested in learning about growing plants and food, along with K-12, University, Church, and Civic groups contribute thousands of hours per year to the 10-acre regenerative agriculture effort which also includes an apiary, greenhouse, and food forest.
